As the others have said, there is a very nice covered area. The lighthouse is giving tours on the weekends only. Start at noon. Very interesting history about this spot. It is called Rose Point. Named by early explorers. There are concrete fire rings so you can roast your hot dogs or do smores. BBQ's under the covered areas.
