We want to do the ink pots hike in late September, but I'm worried about the crowds. Will they thin out a bit by the time the end of September rolls around? Also, I'm planning on wearing a good pair of walking shoes, a full length pair of lulu lemon sweats, a long sleeve shirt and a windbreaker type jacket. Would gloves and a toque also be recommended? Thanks!

Sounds like you are well prepared. Having a pair of gloves and toque or head band in your back pack wouldn't hurt. In September you need to be prepared for all types of weather. Yesterday we hiked Sunshine Meadows and it was covered in snow - what a wonderful experience. If you have the time, Sunshine Meadows is a must do trail - voted # 1 trail in Canada by Lonely Planet. re. crowds. We did the hike in July and there were no crowds once we passed the second falls. Enjoy
