Aaland

Åland is an autonomous and demilitarised region of Finland. The League of Nations granted Åland autonomy in 1920. Åland is Finland's smallest region by both land area and population, representing about 0.5% of Finland's total area and people. Swedish is the sole official language, and Mariehamn is the capital.
