This amazing 10 mile trail is filled with runners, walkers, dogs, and families enjoying the riverfront from downtown. I felt safe to run alone. Full review by ZenDark30

It's really wonderful that this path is accessible throughout. We only walked a small stretch near South Congress, but we got to see lots of turtles which was an indication that the water is clean. Full review by dreamspeaker

I took a nice solo walk on the riverfront. I got great views of the tall buildings of Austin. Much of the path was a dirt road. In 2013, I sat around this area to view the bats come out at night from… Full review by TennisStar602
We would like to do bike the lady bird trail by renting bikes but we have a son who would need a 20” bike. Does anyone know any other bike shops other than Austin Bike Pro Shop where kids bikes can be rented?

Hi Laura. The bicycle rental & app was called Pace. We downloaded the apps on both of our phones and were able to rent for as little or as long as you wanted. It was not expensive and would have been a better experience if we would have had the app already installed and ready to go. We were not exactly sure where to drop off the bikes when we we done, but figured out that a standard city bike rack is the proper location. Hope this helps. Austin is an awesome city. Hope you can enjoy the trails!
Can I rent a kayak with my debit card or do they accept cash only?
A:
I know the rental place by Barton Springs is cash only, but Texas Rowing Center accepts debit cards. It's located on N. Side of River near austin High School
