Can your hire bikes and ride the tracks to Huka falls?

Yes it is possible to ride all the way - there is one small section of steps ( when riding from track starting on Spa Rd) but easy to dismount and carry

The intercity bus stop is in the centre of Taupo town. An easy 5 minute walk to the information centre known as the i-site. From there you can get a ride on the Taupo Hot Bus to Huka Falls and other attractions in the area. Huka Falls is 5 minutes drive north of Taupo. Cost on the Hot Bus to Huka Falls return is $15.00. It is $5.00 for each extra attraction you add on.
Amazing Falls here. Easy walk up and down the length of the rapids. Sometimes you can also see speed boats full of visitors come almost up to the spray off the falls. The Hub Cafe, sadly, has closed near here. Seems the landlord raised the rents too high for them to stay open.
