In general a great birthday weekend for my wife. The wind on two of the three days was uncomfortable due to the vast amount of dirt it threw into the air, but we made the best of it. We camped at Hac…Full review by WES A

Amy, Thank you for your question. Roper Lake is a beautiful place to enjoy the water. The cost to enter the park for the day is $7 per carload of up-to four people. There are restrooms, but no food available, so you might want to bring a picnic lunch or even barbecue. The Park store there also sells great souvenirs to remember your visit by. If you visit the parks website, you'll see a family splashing in the waters, right at the top of the page. I hope you have a great trip and will enjoy all of the beautiful sights Arizona provides! ~ Arizona State Parks & Trails

Q:
I will just be visiting for the day as I pass through in late January on a long road trip. I've never been to AZ before so don't know what to expect weather-wise. It the hot pool open in winter? Is there a bath house or something where I can change into a bathing suit? Is this just part of the park admission fee, and do I just enter the park and go there? Any advice will be greatly appreciated - thank you!
A:
The natural hot spring can be accessed year round. A "hot tube" has been constructed in the park for visitors to enjoy the spring water. A park entry fee is required.
