Richard L. McGough, III, MD, is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency and orthopedic traumatology fellowship at Brown University. He also completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal oncology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, remaining there as a surgical oncology research fellow. He serves as chief of musculoskeletal oncology at UPMC. Dr. McGough specializes in musculoskeletal tumor surgery, including tumors of the pelvis, megaprosthetic reconstruction, limb salvage, and other sarcoma surgery. He has been named one of Pittsburgh's “Top Docs” by Best Doctor's Inc. in Pittsburgh Magazine.
