Within 30 min at some of the nicest „city“ beaches by bus from Parque Central in Havana. Very busy beach with locals on Sunday - a real experience. Gay beach ‘Mi Cayito’ very busy and fun as always. …Full review by Onthewalkway
Can you get there from the port of you are arriving on a cruise ship for the day?
A:
yes, just go to Parque Central, and jump on the 3T bus. It is only 5 cuc round trip , and runs about every 40 minutes. If you want to save a little time, a taxi will take you their for around 20 cuc.

No long walk at all as someone else said. They have good food, drinks, and banos's available.

Otherwise if you have driven there in a registered taxi he may return to collect you ( you cannot always guarantee that though). The best bet is the bus from Havana.
