What an incredible estate! The orchids are amazing here! There are also many other beautiful tropical plants and many special Cuban birds to be seen. Our guide was excellent.Full review by Karen W

Do you need to pay to get in to the gardens? We will be in Soroa right around Christmas. I'm wondering if it might be closed due to the holiday?

There is a charge for entrance, though can't say how much as it was included in our tour and paid by the tour guide. The orchid gardens and greenhouses have a guide (included in the price) to tell you all about the orchids and the history of the gardens, but the rest of the gardens do not, as far as I can remember. Or maybe that is just optional (?)

Wondering if there was a guide onsite there, to point out the various orchids (which I know can often be hidden away) Is the guide multi-lingual (English speaking?) And also, how much time do you think one should allow there for a visit that is not rushed.

There was an English-speaking guide when I visited in August, who was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Allow 1-2 hours for a visit.
