One of my favorite places to Hike. The view from the Top to the trail is one of the BEST things you'll ever see. Also tons of things to see and do in the historical little town below museums, Cafe's,… Full review by Edmonds0099
I'm not sure, but the park has a very informative website so they may say on there. At least it would have a number to call or email to send the question.
Wandering if anyone’s been there recently who can tell me what the leaves are looking like? I love photography and was hoping to catch some colorful shots. I’ll be heading up that way later this week. Also, if I wanted to walk around the town and hit the state park, where would a good place to park be? Never been before. Thanks in advance!

We randomly picked next weekend for our fall trip and according to the on-line leaf chart, that weekend into the following weekend should be most favorable. That being said, Mother Nature will ultimately decide. Let's just hope she keeps any wet, breezy weather at bay until then. As for parking, you can drive directly to the town and park there if you plan to be there past dusk. The town and park kind of meld together and the businesses stay open after the park. If you are quiet and respectful, you can wander around the park portion of the town after dusk. I am not sure how plentiful the park/town parking is as we walk from our accommodations, but you could park further up the hill on the street and walk down as it is a stunning view coming down the hill. If you don't plan on staying past dusk, there is ample parking at the visitor center and a shuttle that takes you to the park and back. The fee for the shuttle is included in the park admission fee (or at least it was the last time I chose this route a few years back with my father in-law). Hope this helps and here's to a lovely trip for you!
