It's amusing people are even mentioning the steps in the tunnel. Imagine if there wasn't a tunnel, you'd have to climb over the cliff. Suddenly the steps aren't really a big deal are they. Full review by TheMightyImp2

We parked in the Ness car park near the entrance to the tunnel. The tunnel was a lot longer than I imagined. It was lit adequately thankfully. There were steps to negotiate and some parts were uneven… Full review by kable pack k

The access to the cove is through a tunnel. I was a bit apprehensive togo there but it was well lit and easy enough although we were a bit out of breath climbing up about 86 steps Once you come out … Full review by banok2014

There are a couple of sets of steps leading to the cove but it can be slippery and rather dark in the tunnels so may not be appropriate for someone elderly or frail, including young …
