During the era of the Three Kingdoms of Korea, Mupung in Byeonjin belonged to Silla and was called Musanhyeon, and Jugye area in Mahan belonged to Baekje and was called Jeokcheonhyeon. It is known that Musan was renamed as Mupung and Jeokcheon as Dancheon after the Era of Unified Silla.
