Our view of Mt Abrupt was from the highway and that was impressive enough to avoid the 6 plus km hike up to the peak about 780 m high. I am sure the views would have been even better from the hike.Full review by Oldjack

Travelling from Halls Gap on Grampians Road you will see Mt Abrupt standing out, keep an eye out for the brown signs on your left hand side. It’s quiet a large gravel car park, with the hike starting on the opposite side of the road. Take care crossing as it’s not marked for cars to slow down or keep and eye out for pedestrians. Car park fits 15-20 cars depending how everyone parks and can fill quickly. Signs from Dunkeld way towards Halls Gap are harder to see. Best coming from Halls Gap if possible
