Hi, I am wondering how easy/difficult it is to get onto the safari trucks. Do they have steps to climb up alongside the trucks or do you have to use the ladders attached to board. Thanks for any help.

Hi Jane, Yep some of the vehicles you need to be as flexible as a gymnast to get in? I suggest you get your tour guide to ask the driver(s) for you to get front passenger seat due to mobility issues. Alternatively, their is a vehicle organiser who ensures the spread of bodies between cars, he is holding a clipboard in the car park area, any is very efficient with requests! Enjoy and hopefully you will get the Big 5, it's a great spot!! Cheers, Skeney.
I am travelling to Durban with a fellow photographer in February 2019. Has anyone got any advice about where to stay and whom to use as guides, so we can get the most out of a three day visit.. we can't afford luxury but look forward to seeing as many animals as we can. John Dickens

Try staying at Hilltop camp in Hluhluwe or look for some accommodation in St Lucia
Hi, We are visiting S.A. for the first time in July on a self drive holiday. We would like to make a day visit to Imfolozi en-route from Durban to St.Lucia. Can you recommend the best gate for us to enter the park to see as much as we can before exiting on the main road to St.Lucia? Thanks Chris Jones
