Great Tey is a village and civil parish in the City of Colchester district of Essex, England. It is near the villages of Marks Tey and Little Tey, located approximately six miles west of Colchester. It is part of a group of villages called the Teys, consisting of Marks Tey, Little Tey and Great Tey. The village is situated north of the Roman River. The parish of Great Tey is a small rural community that contains a few local amenities such as a village pub, a Norman church and a post office.
