Derrag is a town and commune in Médéa Province, Algeria. According to the 1998 census, it has a population of 7,695. Derrag is located on the southern side of the Tellian Atlas, west of the Oursenis. It is located within the Bled Derrag area in the corner between the forests of Chaoun and Boumedienne, separated from the high plateau by the Taguensa and Djebel Azzeba. The area is bordered by mountains or two sides and the steppe on the third.
