If you didnt want to stay the whole time and wanted to go back to the port early is there Transportation waiting or do you have to wait the whole 5 hours before you can return? For however long the time was booked for?

Yes, you let them know when you arrive, or at any time during your stay, what time you want to leave and they will have your taxi at that time. If you are not sure and just want to wing it, just remember that it will take the taxi about 40 minutes to get there and about that long to get you back to town or the cruise terminal.

The only time there is a smell is when the sargasso seaweed becomes overwhelming. When we were there in January '23 there was little or no seaweed and there was no smell at all. When seaweed gets overwhelming they have always offered full refunds if you don't want to go. Its not the water, it is the seaweed washed ashore that smells.
