My suggestion is to buy your tickets online; get the self guiding tour, ad it is really good buy for $5. If you are going to more than museum, I would look at citypass San Francisco although it doesn't seem to go to Asian Arts museum. Hope this helps

Same responses as the others. It is definitely cafeteria style. It is a modest size dining room, but when it is crowded, there is also a second smaller room which is used for additional seating. I have seen larger families or groups move a few tables together for their meal. I would think that if you called in advance and asked for the restaurant manager, you could certainly get answers to your questions and seek out some special arrangements.
